So while I liked the staff, the grounds, and other features, I'm not sure we would go back to TopNotch.

The dogs that were allowed was not a plus for us and outside the front door each time we came someone was smoking, which we didn't care to walk through either. While I would come back for the tennis program, there is not much more that I liked that would draw me back.
This is not representative of anything bad we heard about the restaurants, but wanted to see other places and try those. For as much as you pay, plus a resort fee, I've been unable to use the resort so far on a very nice day. We went for a bike ride, and came back to find the same situation. While waiting we decided to go to the pool, only to find there were no seats/chairs to be had. They needed to swap out the unit (we think), but it was fixed. We lowered the temperature on the air conditioner, and came back later to see nothing had changed. When getting to the room, we discovered the room was warm. The very nice person behind the desk took all our information to pre-check in, and said he would call us on our cell when the room was ready. We arrived early, and our room was not ready. So just went for the weekend, but found both good and not so good at the resort.
We have stayed at the Tyler Place and Smugglers Notch mostly, and with the kids getting older, decided to try something new. Over the last 10 years or so my family and I have come to Vermont for a summer vacation.
